Energy
Energy is the capacity or ability to do work or produce change. It exists in various forms, including kinetic (motion), potential (stored), thermal (heat), chemical (stored in molecular bonds), electrical, and nuclear energy. Energy can be transformed from one form to another, but it cannot be created or destroyed, a principle known as the conservation of energy. In practical terms, energy is essential for powering machines, heating spaces, and enabling processes in both living organisms and the environment. It is measured in joules (J) in the International System of Units (SI). Understanding energy is fundamental to physics, engineering, chemistry, and many other fields, as it underpins the operations of the universe and the functioning of technology in daily life.
