Starlink Satellites

Starlink satellites are a group of satellites developed and deployed by SpaceX, aimed at providing global broadband internet service. The constellation is designed to offer high-speed, low-latency internet access, particularly in remote and underserved areas where traditional internet infrastructure is lacking. Each satellite operates in low Earth orbit (LEO), typically at altitudes ranging from 340 kilometers (about 210 miles) to 1,200 kilometers (about 750 miles). By using a large number of small satellites (eventually up to thousands), Starlink aims to form a network that enables continuous internet coverage across the globe. Users connect to the service through a small satellite dish, known as a terminal, which communicates with the satellites overhead. Starlink is notable for its ambitious scale and the potential to revolutionize internet access worldwide.
