SpaceX
SpaceX, or Space Exploration Technologies Corp., is an American aerospace manufacturer and space transportation company founded by Elon Musk in 2002. Its primary goal is to reduce space transportation costs to enable the colonization of Mars and make space travel more accessible. SpaceX is known for developing the Falcon 1, Falcon 9, and Falcon Heavy rockets, as well as the Dragon spacecraft. The company has achieved significant milestones in the aerospace industry, including the first privately funded spacecraft to reach orbit, the first privately funded spacecraft to dock with the International Space Station (ISS), and the first reusable orbital rocket stage. SpaceX is also working on the Starship spacecraft, intended for missions to Mars and beyond. The company is heavily involved in satellite internet through its Starlink project and aims to provide global broadband coverage using a large constellation of small satellites in low Earth orbit.
