Motorola is an American telecommunications company known for its role in developing and manufacturing telecommunications equipment and consumer electronics. Founded in 1928, it initially focused on creating radio communications equipment. Motorola became widely known for its mobile phones, particularly during the early years of cellular technology. The company played a pivotal role in the development of the first commercial handheld mobile phone, the Motorola DynaTAC 8000X, launched in 1983.
