Indian Satellites

Indian Satellites refer to artificial satellites that are launched and operated by India for various purposes, including communication, earth observation, navigation, and scientific research. These satellites are developed and managed primarily by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). Since the first Indian satellite, Aryabhata, was launched in 1975, India has developed a range of satellites that serve both national and international interests. Indian satellites play a crucial role in enhancing the country’s capabilities in telecommunications, meteorology, agriculture, disaster management, and education. They contribute significantly to India’s strategic and technological advancements in space exploration and satellite technology.
