Geomagnetism

Geomagnetism refers to the study of the Earth’s magnetic field, its origin, characteristics, and variations over time. It encompasses the investigation of the magnetic properties of the Earth, including the dynamo processes in its core that generate the magnetic field, as well as the interactions of the magnetic field with solar winds and cosmic rays. Geomagnetism also involves understanding the Earth’s magnetic poles, magnetic declination, and variations in magnetic intensity, which can affect navigation systems and are important for various scientific applications, including geology and environmental studies.
