Cyclone

A cyclone is a large-scale air mass that rotates around a strong center of low atmospheric pressure. It is characterized by inward-directed spiraling winds that rotate counterclockwise in the Northern Hemisphere and clockwise in the Southern Hemisphere due to the Coriolis effect. Cyclones are often associated with severe weather conditions, including heavy rain, strong winds, and storms. They can take various forms, such as tropical cyclones (which develop over warm ocean waters and can lead to hurricanes and typhoons) and extratropical cyclones (which occur in temperate regions and can bring storms and precipitation). Cyclones play a significant role in the Earth’s weather systems, redistributing heat and moisture in the atmosphere.
