Atlantic Hurricanes

Atlantic Hurricanes refer to powerful tropical storms that form over the Atlantic Ocean, including the Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico. These storms develop from warm ocean waters and can produce strong winds, heavy rainfall, and significant storm surges. The typical development of an Atlantic hurricane begins with the formation of a tropical depression, which can intensify into a tropical storm and eventually a hurricane as it gains strength and organization. Atlantic hurricanes are classified on a scale from 1 to 5 based on their maximum sustained winds, with Category 1 being the least intense and Category 5 being the most severe, capable of catastrophic damage. These storms are seasonal, primarily occurring from June 1 to November 30, peaking from August to October. Atlantic hurricanes pose serious threats to coastal regions, leading to evacuation orders, destruction of property, and loss of life, and they are monitored by meteorological organizations to provide forecasts and warnings to mitigate their impacts.
