Urban Air Mobility

Urban Air Mobility (UAM) refers to the concept of using aerospace vehicles, such as drones and electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, to transport people and goods within urban environments. This innovative mode of transportation aims to alleviate traffic congestion, reduce travel times, and enhance accessibility in densely populated areas by utilizing the airspace above cities. UAM encompasses a range of applications, including air taxis, cargo delivery, and emergency medical services, all designed to operate in urban settings. The development of UAM involves not only technological advancements in aircraft design and operations but also considerations for infrastructure, regulation, air traffic management, and safety to ensure efficient integration with existing transportation systems.
