Healing
Healing refers to the process of recovery and restoration from injury, illness, or emotional distress. It encompasses physical, mental, and spiritual dimensions, often involving the body’s natural ability to repair itself or the application of treatments and therapies to facilitate this process. Healing can occur on various levels, including somatic (physical healing), emotional (processing and recovering from emotional trauma), and spiritual (finding meaning or peace).
In a broader sense, healing is associated with the improvement of well-being and the reduction of suffering. It can involve a range of practices and approaches, from medical interventions and therapies to holistic and alternative methods, emphasizing the importance of nurturing and support. The concept of healing is often linked to the idea of wholeness, where a person not only recovers from a particular ailment but also achieves a sense of balance and harmony in their overall health.
