Archaeology

Archaeology is the scientific study of human history and prehistory through the excavation, analysis, and interpretation of material remains, such as artifacts, structures, and landscapes. It seeks to understand past human behaviors, cultures, and societies by examining the physical evidence left behind. Archaeologists often work at historical sites to uncover and document these remains, which help reconstruct the past. The discipline combines techniques from the social sciences, physical sciences, and humanities to create a comprehensive picture of how human beings have interacted with their environment over time.
