Alternative Fuels

Alternative fuels refer to energy sources that can substitute traditional fossil fuels (such as gasoline, diesel, and coal) for powering vehicles and generating energy. These fuels are often derived from renewable resources or have a lesser environmental impact compared to conventional fuels. Examples of alternative fuels include biofuels (like ethanol and biodiesel), hydrogen, electricity (from batteries or fuel cells), natural gas, propane, and the use of solar or wind energy for electric vehicles. The adoption of alternative fuels is driven by the need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, decrease dependence on oil, promote energy security, and encourage sustainable practices in transportation and energy consumption.
